|The Fury of the Grave!|
Lore[edit | edit source]
"Every 100 years the battle is fought and the bones of the dead and fallen litter the grounds beneath. It is from these charnel piles that a Direbone is born! Fueled by the crushing rage of defeat, Direbone dragons are revenants, cruel spirits who tear their way into our world from the place beyond for nothing but revenge.
Pure despair - a dread of the place that awaits the fallen and the certainty of the nothingness that is defeat - is the primary weapon of a Direbone. They literally engulf their victims in clouds of dread, an unholy mist of despair that lead many riders to leap from their saddles to avoid it.
They will stop at nothing to crush their enemies and erase the stain of their ignoble end. Theirs is a fury from beyond the grave!"
Tips[edit | edit source]
Feed before the real fight - Direbone starts the game relatively weak, but will build into a powerhouse of damage and health when properly upgraded, so spend time on creeps before you PvP.
There's dead and then there's really dead - when upgraded, Direbone is tough. but not invincible. After you alpha strike, make sure to back out of the fight to recuperate and strike again.
Get up close and personal - With it's superior speed, the sword and shield of the bone shards and the ridiculous rate of life stealing, Direbone is a fearsome monster when faced in single combat. and even a pair should think twice when attacking a well fed one. Do mind your mana though and retreat as quick as possible.
Bone Shards are the Secret Sauce - The whirling bone blades that orbit a Direbone when Bone Shards is cast are the key to Direbone's lethality. They are scrapper's weapons though; don't shy away from a fight while you're using them!
Pair Bone with Ulfberht - Ulfberht's Lava burst is a great add on to Direbone's attacks and its living flame can be used to discourage chasers as you set up to strike again.
